We use the international standard ISO 16128 methodology for calculating the naturalness of our personal care products.
ISO 16128 is a methodology to determine whether or not an ingredient should be considered natural.
At Dr. Squatch we’re not hiding behind false promises and we strive to be as transparent as possible with all of our products and ingredients.

No Harmful Ingredients

We avoid sulfates because they can be too effective, leading to irritation to the skin.
Studies have evaluated the potential impacts of these preservatives as endocrine disrupting chemicals or carcinogens. So we err on the side of caution and avoid parabens in our products.
Phthalates have been extensively studied and shown to have a variety of negative impacts on health with chronic exposure, including endocrine disruption.
